Ordinarily I couldn’t give two hoots about Katy Perry. Her music’s pretty generic, and I’m frankly sick of hearing it on the radio. But on hearing she’s enlisted a cast of retro stars and modern-day celebs for her “Last Friday Night” film clip, my interest was piqued.
There’s something for everyone here. The kids have a few Glee stars and Rebecca “Friday” Black to get excited about. For folks of my vintage there’s Corey Feldman, Debbie Gibson, and Hanson. And I must direct my mom to the clip because there’s even an appearance by her favorite curly haired saxophone player, Kenny G.
I’ll still turn this song off if it plays on the radio, but its film clip’s brilliant!
