Keith Olberman To Join Current TV (Video) | Deal With More Progressive, Smaller Network

Since MSNBC and Keith Olberman parted ways two weeks ago, many were left scratching their heads why. Was it some sort of conspiracy to shut-down the most vocal anchor? Was it due to health problems?

Actually, it was probably because Olberman got a better deal with CurrentTV.

I’ve been a fan of CurrentTV since Al Gore started it in 2005. Not only do you see real objective reporting without the glitz and glamor, but you see stories that no other mainstream news network dares to touch. Their Vanguard Series, especially, has become a huge hit online.

As for Olberman, I’m sure Al Gore wanted to help take the network in a bigger direction and expand it’s small and loyal audience. As long as CurrentTV stays true to allowing user-generated content on cable, I’ll be watching for sure.
