The Kings Of Leon are a fantastic indie rock band who first got big in the UK before finding favor in their native U.S.A. They’re about to embark on a huge tour of North America between August and October.
They appeared on The Today Show this morning to announce the tour and perform a couple of songs from their award winning album Only By The Night. The show took place at the Rockefeller Center in New York.
The Kings Of Leon are made up of three brothers and their cousin. their name comes from their father and grandfather both being called Leon. Their sound incorporates a few different styles and genres of music, all combined to great effect.
This was the first live gig in The Today Show Summer Concert Series. Artists will perform every Friday through August, including Jason Mraz, Flo Rida, Natasha Beningfield, and Mariah Carey. But I doubt they’ll compare to Kings Of Leon.
