This is a video review for the new movie Larry Crowne, in which Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts star as a middle-aged, romantic, will they-won’t they pairing.
The problem is it just isn’t very good.
Having seen the trailer for Larry Crowne a couple of times at the theater, I know I won’t be going to see the full film. It just doesn’t appeal, and is a film which seems never to actually go anywhere.
I get the feeling that this is one of those movies that the actors would quite happily see die quietly in the corner with no one noticing. It’s not that it’s a particularly bad movie, it’s just a nothing movie full of, well, nothing.
I like a good rom-com, and a good comedy-drama, but a bad rom-com-dram? Not so much.
