Southern california is currently experiencing what is being described as one of the worst set of wildfires in history.

Over 1 million people have been forced from their homes, the biggest evacuation in California ever.

One person directly affected by the devestating blazes is Larry Himmel from San Diego’s CBS affiliate KFMB TV channel. His house was in the direct path of one of the worst fires.

This video shows him actually reporting on the destruction of his own house in San Diego County, which makes for quite an amazing story.

Larry actually considers himself lucky because to report on it, the police allowed him close enough to his house to see what it’s fate was. Everyone else in his street has to wait and see what they have left waiting for them.
