Rod Blagojevich, former Governor of Illinois, has gone on something of a media blitz over the past week in order to try and garner public support. Already having been on The View and Larry King Live, last night saw him take on David Letterman.
For those not au fait with the story, Blagojevich was arrested in December and accused of various counts of corruption, including trying to sell Barack Obama’s old Senate seat. There is also an allegation of him trying to bribe a racetrack owner.
Blagojevich obviously maintains his innocence and told David Letterman that he would eventually “be vindicated” in what amounts to “one big misunderstanding.” Yeah, and I’m Elton John’s love child.
