Lucas Cruikshank, the YouTube star most famous for the character of Fred Figglehorn, has come out as gay.
The American actor did so in the most fitting manner: with a YouTube video where he and best friend Jennifer Veal answered questions posed by fans.
Cruikshank, for those unfamiliar with his act, created Fred as a childish alter-ego. He found fame on YouTube, before getting a deal with Nickelodeon.
It probably won’t come as a surprise to most people to discover Cruikshank is gay. And apparently his family and friends have known for years. Still, it takes courage to finally go public with the admission.
