American Thanksgiving Day is all about tradition, and one of the most famous, after eating turkey, praying, and giving thanks (obviously) is Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The Macy’s Parade has taken place in New York every year since 1924 apart from the years of World War II. Millions gather to watch in Manhattan, while many more millions watch it at home on television.

This YouTube video shows Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade from 2007, and we get to see the plethora of floats, bands, and giant inflatable balloons march past from a spectator’s point of view.

Miley Cyrus (who isn’t dead), David Archuleta and other performers are set to attend this year’s parade, along with Broadway show, White Christmas, In the Heights, South Pacific, and The Little Mermaid.
