Manchester United are one of the most famous football (or soccer if you’re that way inclined) clubs in the world. They’ve had legends such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and George Best play for them … and now they have Rhain Davis!
If you’re asking yourself “Who is he?” then I would say watch the video and you will soon get a taster of his prowess and skills on and off the ball.
Rhain Davis is a nine-year-old Australian kid (with a British passport) who was signed by Manchester United a few weeks ago purely on the strength of the YouTube video posted above.
As impressive as this video of him playing in a match in Brisbane, Australia is, does that warrant the biggest football club in England signing him up to play for them at such a tender age?
He was signed after his grandfather sent a DVD of him playing in to the club. The fans are already describing him as the next Wayne Rooney!
He’s good, but is he really that good? I’ll only be satisfied when he’s scoring the winning goal for England in a World Cup final, and knowing my luck he’ll choose to play for Australia instead.
