Any fans of Doctor Who will know that David Tennant, possibly the greatest Doctor ever, announced he would be leaving the show before the start of the new series in 2010.
There then followed intense speculation as to the identity of who would take over from him. And now we know. The 11th Doctor is Matt Smith, a young British actor who is virtually unknown.
This video shows an extended version of the interview with Smith that appeared on Doctor Who Confidential. In it, Smith talks about how he feels at getting the part, his admiration for David Tennant, and a lot more besides.
I was personally hoping for a black Doctor this time around, probably purely because of Barack Obama becoming U.S. President. But I suppose going for the youngest Doctor ever, Smith is 26-years-old, is also a welcome change.
