Matt Smith Leaving Doctor Who News Video | Who Will Be The 12th Dr. Who For The BBC?

26 sec read

Matt Smith has announced he’s leaving his role as Doctor Who after three years. The eighth series of the BBC show will have a new Timelord at the helm of the TARDIS, but who?

Matt Smith took over as Dr. Who from David Tennant in 2010, making him the 11th iteration of the regenerating Timelord that travels in time and space protecting the Universe from itself.

He’s now leaving the role after just a few years, making his final appearances in the 50th Anniversary episode in November and the Christmas special in December.

Speculation is rife over who will replace him, with Rupert Grint and Russell Tovey being the current bookies’ favorites. My money is on a female, though which one remains to be seen.
