Depending on who you believe, the Occupy Movement is propelled by folks championing the rights of the common man, or simply slackers sitting around and whining a lot. There have been plenty of supporters and cynics, but few have provided such a commentary as thoughtful as poet Maya Angelou.
She has far too much grace to bag out any of the players. Instead she encourages us to think of a world where the one percent isn’t referring to the very rich, but a group who don’t complain.
Angelou makes her argument so eloquently. It’s just a shame that the Occupiers will probably be sitting around complaining in the streets rather than logging on and hearing it.
