Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday if he hadn’t passed away in June. He did die but that doesn’t seem to have stopped his fans from celebrating. I guess it takes all sorts.
This video shows how some Australian Jacko fans celebrated his birthday – by taking part in a flashmob in the center of Sydney. As is the norm, they chose to recreate the Thriller music video. Because that’s never been done before.
OK, so maybe I’m being a little unfair. It actually looks quite good, even with the couple of people out of time. For a flashmob it looked a little staged to me, with even the people not directly involved expecting it.
We are, of course, assuming Michael Jackson is actually dead, when there is tons of speculation that he’s actually still alive. If he is then I wish him a happy birthday, wherever he’s celebrating it.
