This video features the audio, but not the visuals, for the new Michael Jackson song, Hold My Hand. Yes, we all know he’s dead, but you didn’t think that was going to stop people cashing in, did you?
Before Jacko’s death last year, he had reportedly been working on a new album, both solo and collaborative efforts. His estate won’t let a simple thing such as death from preventing the album being released, and so it is being.
Called simply Michael, the album features 10 songs, including duets with 50 Cent, Lenny Kravitz, and, as you can hear above, Akon. The album may be good, it may be bad, but it won’t matter either way because it’ll sell in its millions.
Whether that makes it right to release it is another matter. Personally, I think it’s a little beastly to profit from someone’s death. Then again, Tupac only became a star after he died, so it can work.
