This is the last (released) footage of Michael Jackson talking about his 2009 tour. Back in April, there was a huge talent turnout for the “This Is It” tour which was supposed to be his last one ever.
The saddest part about this conference is the fact that all the energy, time, and money put into this tour is now essentially wasted.
The beginning of the clip opens with a 3 minute promo that recaps his previous performances. So if you’d just like to see the new Michael talking I suggest you fast-forward to the 5:30 mark. According to the conference, the tour was supposed to occur from July to September in the O2 Arena in London.
The last I heard, the tickets were sold out within 10 minutes and the contract was to pay Jackson around $750 million- a new record for the most expensive tour ever. Sadly, the phrase “See you in July” no longer applies.
