This video shows Boston Celtics forward Mickael Pietrus crash into Philadelphia 76ers point guard Lou Williams. He ends up landing awkwardly and is eventually carried from the court on a stretcher.
Pietrus has been described “a lucky man” to have come away from this fall relatively unscathed. Things could have been a lot worse after a fall of this nature.
The Boston Celtics forward was seen vomiting, convulsing, and spitting blood in the aftermath of the incident, which clearly lead doctors to believe his injuries could be serious.
In the end it looks as though Pietrus suffered a concussion but nothing more. an X-ray, a CT scan, and an MRI scan showed up no abnormalities, and Pietrus should play again before the end of the season.
