Miranda Lambert CRIES – The House that Built Me – Healing in the Heartland

Introducing Miranda Lambert at Wednesday night’s “Healing in the Heartland” benefit concert, Blake Shelton described the country star as “an amazing woman, a compassionate human being, a great talent — oh, and by the way, an amazing wife.” A solid list of traits, to be sure, though Shelton might’ve added “expert channeler of grief.”

Singing her song “The House That Built Me,” Lambert broke down halfway through her performance, evidently overwhelmed by the emotion triggered by last week’s devastating tornado in Oklahoma, where she and Shelton live.

The telethon, held at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena and broadcast live on NBC, also included performances by Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan and Shelton, who closed the show with his fellow “Voice” judge Usher. The two singers did “Home” by Michael Bublé.

Either way, this lady was on fire and a touch of the blues was in her. We all felt her music whether you’re a fan of hers or not. Everyone is a fan of patriotism and camaraderie.
