Yesterday (July 20) was the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It was a day to celebrate the achievement of mankind in flying to the moon, walking on the surface, and then flying back again. That is, if you believe it ever actually happened.
While I hues the majority of people, especially Americans, believe it did actually happen, there are millions around the world who at least have doubts, which they express in the form of a moon landing conspiracy theory.
The theory goes that rather than actually making the trip, the whole thing was staged, with the shuttle landing and Neil Armstrong’s walking on the moon all being filmed in a studio somewhere on Earth.
This video shows an MSNBC debate from 2002 exploring the hoax theory and the evidence for the conspiracy having taken place. It also includes footage of Buzz Aldrin punching a guy in the face, which is brilliant to watch.
