Mr. Peanut Dies In Super Bowl Ad Video | Planters’ Iconic Mascot Is Dead

22 sec read

Mr Peanut is dead. Or at least he is according to Planters’ preview of its Big Game ad for Super Bowl LIV.

The ad shows Mr. Peanut, Wesley Snipes, and Matt Walsh crashing off the side of a cliff in order to avoid an armadillo.

The trio end up hanging from a branch, and Mr. Peanut sacrifices himself to save his friends. The NUTmobile, which Mr. Peanut lands on, then blows up.

I’m calling it now… there’s going to be a twist in the tale. Either Mr. Peanut somehow survived, or Planters will introduce a new character to replace him.
