Metacafe and Virtual MTV have joined forces to hold the first contest of its kind. Budding music video directors can test out their creative skills by making and uploading a video of their making.
Music fans who want to have a go can simply use audio tracks, video clips and online editing tools, to come up with a video they think will beat all others, and secure them the prize.
Spill Your Creative Juices
Any budding creative types out there have until December 4th to get their video on the site, where it will initially be judged using Metacafe’s VideoRank system.
The 10 finalists will then be evaluated by a panel of MTV judges on creativity and originality, and also technical execution. In addition to the 1st prize winner getting a Sony Vegas Pro 8, two runners up will receive $2,000 virtual MTV bucks.
So what are you waiting for? Instead of watching all those crappy music videos and thinking you could do better, get out there and prove it. And if you win? I want a share of the prize please!
