Muammar Gaddafi’s reign of terror is over after he was shot dead on the outskirts of the Libyan town of Sirte.
It was a bloody and brutal end for the dictator, who was captured by rebels before being gunned down. The video footage of his final moments is vicious and grisly, a direct contrast to the scenes of jubilation following his demise.
It’s a little disappointing that Gaddafi was never brought to real justice in a court of law, but that dissatisfaction has been overshadowed by the joy of the Libyan people, and indeed people around the world. Let’s hope he’s not resting in any peace.
