This is Mumford and Sons performing Lover Of The Light at the Coachella Music Festival. If you’re not moved or entertained by this then what the hell is wrong with you?
Mumford and Sons have done fantastically well on both sides of the Atlantic. Us Brits consider them folksy and reminiscent of days gone by, while they also have a definite bluegrass influence that helps in the U.S.
I really hope the second album lives up to the promise and the glory of the first. So many bands who I have fell in love with over the years have peaked with their first release, and I fear that happening again.
The signs are good that isn’t going to be the case though, as this performance of Lover Of The Light, one of two new songs they debuted at Coachella, made me want to hear more. But then it is brilliant.
