I don’t know about you, but when a prank was ever pulled at my high school everyone and their mother was questioned. The same goes for the five students in this web series titled ‘My Alibi.’ Wheeler High School’s principal is determined to find the real culprit behind a massive prank.

But rather than rack her brain to find the prankster, she isolates them all in a single room to battle it out.

Breakfast Club Anyone?

The first thing that popped into my head when I read the plot of ‘My Alibi’ was The Breakfast Club. After all, weren’t the characters that bonded together in the movie all isolated at school for being in trouble? After watching a few more episodes, the connection became more apparent.

Cast

So far, each episode dives into one of the main character’s alibis for not being at first period. And indeed, Cy, Marly, Jonah, Scarlet, and Rebecca all come to see past each other’s stereotypes by the end of it all. What makes the show unique are these cut-away stories that are even sometimes fan-inspired.

Webisode 1
