Ricky Gervais may have got all the plaudits, and criticism, for his turn hosting the Golden Globes last week, and rightly so, but there was another comedy moment that made me smile, this one unintentional.
I am talking about Natalie Portman’s geeky laugh after she made a wisecrack about her boyfriend Benjamin Millepied, who she met on the set of Black Swan. This is a genius remix of that moment by the bods over at CollegeHumor.
They’ve obviously extended her laugh so that it lasts for an absolute age, and cut to shots of all manner of celebrities sitting there wondering what the hell is going on. But wait, there is one man who gets the joke: Brendan Fraser, God bless him.
Portman is admittedly beautiful but that laugh is oh so geeky. I guess she just avoids dating funny men.
