Nate Dogg, real name Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, has died at the tender age of just 41. Nate was a West Coast rapper and longtime Snoop Dogg collaborator, who also worked with Warren G, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Mark Ronson.
The reasons for Nate Dogg’s death are as yet unknown, but he had suffered two strokes in recent years. The first left him paralyzed on one side of his body, and he was undergoing physical therapy.
I can’t say I was overly familiar with Nate Dogg or his career, but his voice is very familiar, mainly because of the 1994 hit Regulate. This song, I Got Love, was released in 2002.
It’s sad when anyone dies, celebrity or otherwise, and Nate Dogg is no exception. Especially at such a young age.
