I never imagined the ability to grow a beard or mustache and nurture it into a weird and wonderful style would qualify someone to be called a champion. But it does, apparently.
The man in the video, Larry McClure, is the first winner of the National Mustache Competition in the U.S. I can certainly see how he won with that monster growth.
Mustaches are strange things. They either suit someone’s face or they don’t. I often sport a beard of varying lengths, and I’ve also been known to have a goatee. But if I go any further and just leave the mustache, I look like a weirdo with an unhealthy interest in children.
McClure, though, doesn’t. In fact, his mustache suits him to the point at which I can’t imagine what he’d look like without it. Probably like a weirdo with an unhealthy interest in children.
