The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is currently trying to sort out the mess over net neutrality rules after the old rules were challenged in court.
During the hearing discussing the way forward, net neutrality protesters stood up and gave their views on the matter. At least until they were escorted out by armed guards.
As it stands currently all traffic delivered by ISPs in the U.S. has to be treated equally. That’s the definition of net neutrality. Sadly, it looks like net neutrality is about to die.
If the current proposals are accepted then ISPs can maintain a “fast lane” for those services willing to pay for the privilege of being given priority. Which is extremely bad news.
