First watch and enjoy.

Then become sick to your stomach…

This disaster occurred back on May 13th, 2000 in the small city of Enschede, Netherlands. The town was once home to 5000 people, but since this massive explosion killed 23 people and injured 947, the place has yet to be the same.

The total cost of the total damage is estimated at $302 million, mainly because 1,500 homes were destroyed leaving over 1,250 people without homes. Much like the similar accident in South Wales, Australia, the boom was felt 30 kilometers away.

According to the BBC, the warehouse bunkers held 100 tons of explosives. Towards the end of the video you can see the roof coming off the building on the right and the last thing we see is the violent shaking of the camera.

The man recording got to witness possibly the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen in his life, only to die while watching it. The cause of the incident has never been verified.
