ABC is currently promoting a new clue in the search for Amelia Earhart and her plane. But it’s really nothing new from what was revealed in this CNN video from a couple of months ago.
There are some photos suggesting where the plane came down, and some personal items that may have belonged to Earhart have been discovered on Nikumaroro, formerly known as Gardner Island.
To be honest I’m wondering why so much effort is being put into solving the mystery when it all happened 75 years ago. Everyone actually knew Earhart is long dead, so why does the mystery need to be solved?
One way or another she and her navigator died, whether immediately as a result of crashing or later as a result of starvation or illness. Do we need to know the exact details?
