This is the new teaser trailer for Avatar, James Cameron’s sci-fi epic which utilizes new 3D CGI technology. It’s also the most expensive movie ever made. But neither of these things guarantees it’s going to be any good.

I’ve been tracking this movie ever since it went into production. The plot looks good, the visuals were described as stunning, and it’s all been brought together by the director of Titanic, James Cameron. Success would seem to be assured.
But after finally getting to see the official teaser trailer, I’m a little underwhelmed it must be said. The hype surrounding this film made me expect something absolutely stunning, and I’m not sure this trailer indicates that’s what we’ve got.
There’s no doubting the fact it looks awesome in some ways, but it’s still computer generated, and there’s no getting away from that. Maybe I’m just getting a bit bored with this over-reliance on CGI – Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra proved that for me.
