Captain Marvel is, in many ways, the female comic book hero. Sure, there are others, but most of them are associated with male characters, or have taken on a role.
In a similar vein to Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel is a badass in her own right, and she’s not about to have some man tell her what to do.
In this, the second trailer for the Captain Marvel movie, we see Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) fighting against the Skrull, who are intent on invading Earth.
Larson looks to have done a good job bringing Danvers to life, but they could have found someone other than Samuel L. Jackson to play the younger Nick Fury.
