The United States Congress passed the new healthcare bill last night, meaning America is committed to the plan for the next 10 years.
Those who opposed the bill, both in Congress and amongst the general public, are aghast at its passing. While those who clearly felt something needed to change are relieved to see something being done about the state of healthcare in the U.S.
This video shows President Obama reacting to the outcome of the vote. Naturally, he’s pleased it passed, because he was the chief architect who decided healthcare in the States needed an overhaul.
This does, however, mean that if it fails then the blame will land fairly and squarely on his shoulders.
Then again, in 10 years time, when the true cost of the plan is properly known, Obama will be out of office. So it’ll be the next president’s job to clear up what could potentially be a mess.
