New Muse Single – Madness – Official Video | First Single Taken From The 2nd Law Album

This is Madness by Muse, the first single (barring Survival, which was the official anthem of the London 2012 Olympics) to be released from the British band’s new album The 2nd Law.

Opinions on this song have been mixed to say the least, with some fans loving it, others hating it. I’m in the latter camp. On first listen I wasn’t sure, but further listens have turned it into an ear-worm.

Yes, it’s slightly different than their previous style, but bands have to either evolve or die. Muse have successfully evolved their sound over several albums, and The 2nd Law looks set to be a work of genius.

If you haven’t yet listened to Muse much then now may be the time to start. I suspect they’ll hit big in the U.S. with this album more than they have with previous albums.
