Nintendo has announced the Switch Lite, a new smaller, lighter, and cheaper version of the Switch. And the big difference is that the Switch Lite is purely handheld.
The Switch is so-called because of its ability to switch between being a handheld console and a home console. But the new Switch Lite cannot be hooked up to a TV.
Instead, it’s a smaller version of the Switch with its joycons permanently attached. Making it more akin to a big (and pretty powerful) handheld console.
Most Switch games are compatible with the Switch Lite. Making it perfect for people who haven’t yet purchased the full-sized version of the Switch.
