YouTube has rolled out new Terms of Service for content creators, and these new rules are causing much consternation. Why? Because they severely limit the types of videos which can be monetized.
Previously, almost anything went, apart from copyright infringement. But from now on, there can’t be any nudity, sexual humor, violence, swearing, harassment, mentions of drugs and alcohol, and/or a discussion of any “controversial or sensitive subjects”. Which is so vague as to potentially include anything and everything!
This YouTuber decided the only way to react to these new guidelines was to make a video breaking all of the rules. So, he can’t make money from it, but it’s still very amusing.
I watched this video and wasn’t offended once, which begs the question why YouTube is cracking down on content that only the most sensitive people will find problematic.
