News Reporter Talks Nonsense Video | Mark McAllister Does A Serene Branson, Fluffs Lines

31 sec read

Global News Toronto reporter Mark McAllister pulled a Serene Branson on Monday night, failing to put the words on his auto-cue in anything even approaching the correct order.

The good news is this doesn’t appear to have happened as the result of any serious health issue. McAllister was back on the air and reporting fine just two days after the incident.

Like Serene Branson, there were concerns that McAllister had suffered a stroke or some kind of serious condition that led to him completely losing the ability to string a sentence together. But after being checked out by paramedics this was found not to be the case.

My guess is that this sort of thing has always happened on live TV, it’s just that we’re only now getting to see it regularly thanks to YouTube. Still, it makes me glad to not be a news anchor.
