This is the new music video to Your Love by Nicki Minaj, which is currently topping the Billboard rap chart. Don’t ask me why because I can’t explain it.
I must be getting old. No, actually scrub that. I’m old period. It’s the only explanation for why I think this song is absolutely terrible, even though everyone else seems to love it.
Well, there could be another explanation: that I have better taste in music than everyone else. No, that can’t be it, can it?
Nicki Minaj’s Your Love is everything that’s wrong with music these days. From the overuse of the word “Shorty”, to the use of the vocoder, to the sampling of an old classic that deserves better.
The video’s not too bad though.
