This is frickin’ hilarious, or at least it would be if it didn’t emphasise a real problem with a big part of the world. Namely that so many countries and people think gay people are some evil force who shouldn’t be tolerated.
The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was giving a speech at Columbia University when a student asked him about the awful treatment of women and execution of homosexuals.
Mahmoud’s response was to deny the existence of any gays in Iran! Well yeah mate, there are probably less in your country because you have killed half of them, but to think there are none? God, how deluded can you get?
I’m just glad the audience laughed and audibly derided the comments as those of an intolerant, unrealistic idiot.
You’d never hear George Bush make mess ups during speeches would you… or be intolerant of gay people for that matter! Hmm ah, ignore that..
