Novak Djokovic scored an impressive straight sets win over Andy Murray in the 2011 Australian Open. And celebrated by throwing his racket and most of his clothes into the crowd.
Djokovic thoroughly deserved his win, having played extremely well all way through the tournament and in the final as well. He dominated proceedings and proved himself one of the best players in the world right now.
As for Murray, well, he did his best. The problem is that British players just don’t seem to be able to win the big matches and the big tournaments.
I guess it’s progression of sorts, because Tim Henman used to get knocked out in the semi-finals whereas Murray at least ends as runner-up. It’s been 75 years since a Brit won a Grand Slam title, is it going to be another 75 before it happens again?
