A new Mortal Kombat game is on its way, with Mortal Kombat X due to be released in 2015.
This video is the first trailer for the forthcoming game from NetherRealm Studios, and so only offers a brief teaser of what we should expect from the latest incarnation in the long-running franchise.
Unfortunately, Mortal Kombat X is still at an early stage of development. Which means this trailer features a visual representation of the final game that far exceeds what it will actually look like.
Still, gameplay-wise, all of the familiar elements are there, including the deadly finishing moves: the very essence of the Mortal Kombat series.
