This video shows the official first trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, the second film in The Hobbit trilogy.
I was one of the naysayers who didn’t think The Hobbit warranted three movies, but this trailer has me convinced I was wrong.
The Hobbit is a fairly small book, certainly compared to The Lord Of The Rings, but Peter Jackson has still managed to eke enough action out of it to make three films.
It does mean there’s lots of added stuff that wasn’t in the book, but the trailer for The Desolation Of Smaug suggests the finished film is going to be great when it’s released in December 2013.
