KFOR storm chaser and weatherman David Payne got more than he bargained for when he decided to head into one of the tornadoes which hit Oklahoma last week. In fact, he was lucky to escape unscathed.
The storm basically changes direction and starts chasing them rather than the other way round. It isn’t long until things get a little hair scary, with pylons floating in mid air as they drive underneath to get away. Wow.
I know there are various reasons people chase storms such as this one: to track their progress, take measurements, and film it for the news. But there are also people who do it for fun, which is just weird.
This is obviously a weatherman who is doing it as part of his job, so he has an excuse for being there. There being the wrong place at the wrong time, unfortunately.
