At the Golden Globes last night, Oprah Winfrey won the Cecil B. DeMille Award for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.
I’m not sure if she warrants such as award, but she celebrated by delivering a rousing speech about sexual harassment, gender, and race. All the politically hot topics of the day.
A lot of what Oprah said made sense. And she spoke passionately as the first black woman to ever receive the Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globes.
The problem is Hollywood people love to talk about themselves, and we encourage them by worshipping at the altar of celebrity.
