We’ve had the spoof parody version of this now notorious video, but until now, have not featured the original vid clip of Tom Cruise talking about Scientology.
That was mainly because the Church (of Scientology) had been forcing YouTube to continually remove the video from it’s servers. This one has been up for more than a few days though, so I’m risking an embed!
The video isn’t actually all that, just showing Cruise waffling on about his mad cult/religion. We all knew he was a bit weird, and this shows that again.
What I mainly see is a man of faith, who believes something wholeheartedly, and expresses his views that he, and his organisation is right.
The question is, are Tom Cruise and his fellow Scientologists any worse than committed Christians, Muslims or followers of any other religion in the world? Surely they were cults at one point, before they became populist.
Is the idea that we are controlled by aliens called Zog, or whetever they think, actually any more unbelievable than the Adam and Eve story, or Noah’s ark?
