Dogs and dolphins aren’t exactly built to be best friends. One lives on the land, and one in the sea, and that’s just for starters.
However, this particular dog and dolphin are best friends, meeting up in the harbour each and every morning.
This is Tory island off the coast of Ireland. The resident dolphin is called Dougie, and he meets up with the labrador who lives in the hotel every day.
If this hadn’t been filmed for TV then I wouldn’t believe it. But it appears that in such an isolated area where animals aren’t very commonplace, two completely different species can be best friends. There’s a lesson to be learned there, somewhere.
