Pat Robertson, known as a right-wing conservative Christian, has condemned Young Earth Creationists. Which is the group who believe the Bible should be taken literally, meaning the world is only 6,000 years old.
When Robertson, who still believes in God and in his control over everything we do, mocks your beliefs, you know you’re clutching at straws. Still, each to their own.
It may be an idealistic viewpoint but why can’t we teach children to look at all possibilities and make their own minds up? Because the absolute, undeniable fact is that we don’t know life started on this planet.
These are all theories, some based on science, others based on fact, but we don’t actually know the truth. So how can we teach any one possibility?
