Big Brother 8 will probably be best remembered for Fake Week, the 7 day period where nothing was as it seemed, including Australian house mate Pauline.
Pauline was touted and introduced to the house mates as an Australian Big Brother contestant, who would be entering the house for an unspecified amount of time.
In actualy fact Pauline was British actress Thaila Zucchi, who did a great job at convincing the house mates that she was actually who she said she was.
Her Australian accent was spot on, and even I was fooled until the show’s viewers were let in on the secret.
This video shows the moment Brian was “given the gift of knowledge” by Big Brother, and told Pauline was actually an actress from the very unglamorous town of Swindon.
Brian’s reaction is one of the funniest things I’ve seen on this year’s show, as he goes through almost every emotion known to man.
Pauline finally left after a week of being in the house, and she managed to get out before anyone rumbled her. Tracey and Carole got close but only had vague suspicions.
