Postsecret is one of my favorite online blogs, with its artistic and deeply personal postcard confessions. In this video the Postsecret team strips away the postcards, leaving simply people and their secrets.
Many are shy and understandably hesitant to reveal those deep dark secrets. There’s the sense that in many cases the secrets told are not the ones that are buried deep down. But when the respondents do open up, the results are stunning.
The video was made to promote Postsecret’s latest book, Confessions on Life, Death and God. But there’s the sense that this clip is much more than a marketing exercise. It’s the kind of vid that unites us all, making us realize that no matter what our secrets are, they’re not so different than those anyone else hides.
