This is Peter, Paul and Mary performing Puff (The Magic Dragon) on stage to the enchantment of several children in the audience.
Peter, Paul and Mary were a folk trio who began in the 1960s and enjoyed a long and fruitful career. Some of their songs were a little cheesy but others are true classics.
Puff (The Magic Dragon) has to be my favorite. There’s something special about it, even though it’s probably about drugs. I prefer to think it’s about the tribulations of growing up.
Unfortunately Mary Travers is no longer with us, having passed away in 2009 after a long battle with leukemia. Peter and Paul continue to perform as a duo though.
