Breast cancer awareness needs to be improved at all costs. Women need to know the risks and the dangers and that regular checking and screening can help prevention and successful cure. But how can you possibly achieve such an ambitious aim?
The staff from St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon decided to try something a little different from the norm. So they all donned pink gloves and danced around to Jay Sean’s Down. The resulting video can be seen above.
“Our employees put together this video to generate breast cancer awareness throughout our hospital system. We had a ton of fun putting this together and hope it inspires others to join in the cause.”
This is a genius way to promote breast cancer awareness because it’s upbeat and fun while still pushing the message home. And it’s little wonder that once uploaded to YouTube the video became a viral hit.
I love the way everyone in the hospital gets involved, from the doctors and surgeons to the cleaners and restaurant staff. Hell, I could almost imagine this being an episode of Scrubs.
